Before You Order: Taking Measurements

(Print-Only)

Casket Measurements

(Print-Only)

Casket dimensions vary by manufacturer, model, and style. Even caskets listed as the same size may differ in real-world measurements.
To ensure accurate printing, measurements must be taken from the actual casket prior to ordering.

The diagram below shows the specific dimensions required for print-only casket wrap production.

Measurements Required

Please provide the following measurements exactly as taken from the casket:

  • A — Overall Length
Total length from head end to foot end.

  • B — Head Width
Widest point at the head end of the casket.

  • C — Foot Width
Widest point at the foot end (often narrower than the head).

  • D — Lid Centerline / Reference
Used for design alignment and symmetry.

  • E — Side Panel Height
Vertical distance from the bottom edge to the top seam.

  • F — Over-Lid Distance (Hump Measurement)
Measurement taken over the highest point of the lid.

  • G — End Panel Height
Vertical height of the head or foot panel.

  • H — End Panel Width
Width of the head or foot panel.

About Bleed & Trimming

All measurements should include additional allowance for bleed and trimming.
Bleed requirements may vary based on installer preference, material handling, and application method.

Cap Panel Measurements

(Inside Casket)

Cap panels are the interior display panels mounted inside the casket lid. These panels may be full cap (covering the entire lid interior) or half cap (covering only the upper portion of the lid), depending on the casket style.

Because cap panel sizes vary by manufacturer and model, measurements must be taken from the actual casket prior to printing.

Full Cap Panel

A full cap panel spans the entire interior lid area.

Please provide:

  • Overall Width
Measure the full interior width of the lid where the panel will sit.

  • Overall Height
Measure from the top interior edge of the lid down to the bottom edge where the panel ends.

These measurements determine the maximum printable area for a full cap panel insert.

Half Cap Panel

A half cap panel covers only the upper section of the interior lid, leaving the lower portion open or upholstered.

Please provide:

  • Overall Width
Measure the full interior width of the lid at the panel location.

  • Half Panel Height
Measure from the top interior edge of the lid down to the point where the panel stops.

Half cap panels are common when the lower lid area remains visible or when a more minimal interior display is desired.

Bleed & Fit Allowance

All measurements should include additional allowance for bleed and trimming.
Bleed requirements may vary based on:

  • Panel mounting method

  • Material handling

  • Installer preference

Exact bleed amounts are not standardized and should be determined by the installer or funeral home.

Important Notes

  • Measurements must be taken from the actual casket, not manufacturer specifications

  • Interior dimensions may differ from exterior lid measurements

  • This is a print-only service

  • Final measurement responsibility remains with the ordering party
